This product’s label depicts a soldier from the Italian Mountain Infantry known as the Alpini (Italian for “alpines”). These soldiers fought in the Alps against Austro-Hungarian and German troops in WWI. In an event known as “White Friday," hundreds of soldiers on both sides were killed when avalanches of snow swept down the mountains, burying the soldiers alive.
